Specialist skills in Change Management and Insolvency allows Brenton to work intimately with business owners establishing cash-flow solutions and preparations for the sale of their businesses. In the event that a business can't be rescued, Brenton is an experienced, well respected liquidator.
Having been a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, since 1996, Brenton has developed an astute knowledge of business, combined with an impressive range of industry involvements.
Tax Matters is led by a man who has held a number of executive roles with corporate organisations including; Property Development, Property Investments, Residential Construction, Hospitality, Electrical Contracting, Energy Research and Development, Freight Forwarding and Waste Management.
They say behind every great man, there’s an even greater woman. Therefore Brenton and his wife Debbie spend most of their spare time dedicated to their children as an unpaid taxi. They often have a laugh that installing a meter in the family car, could help their argument when discussing who’s pay for their retirement plans one day. Brenton’s favourite past times are motorcycling and camping with the family.

Ann started her tax career working for the Inland Revenue Department in Christchurch. She worked for the technical division giving her an expert understanding and knowledge of the New Zealand taxation system. A very handy set of skills in which she can apply to helping our clients.
Ann left the Department when her life changed direction into motherhood and has since raised David, a chartered accountant and Gareth, a Dentist, both residing in England. Ann, a proud mother, re-entered the workforce, after a long break of 12 years but this time, she positioned herself on the other side of the ledger. Ann found herself employed at Touche Ross Chartered Accountants.
Ann was then approached by Bruce Finnerty in 1986, a friend from her prior Inland Revenue era. Bruce approached her to join Goldsmith Fox & Co who were setting up a “Tax Shop” to complete quick, customer returns. The business developed quickly and officially became qualified Accountants when IR 5’s were phased out. To this day, she has never left the business. The business has evolved through 2 more proprietors, changed names and she has stayed loyal to her clients.
Ann’s personal interests include hockey, enjoying country and travelling with her husband Ray.
